Crystal Blue Sky
Directed by Gwilym Temple & written by the 2014 Company
Friday 4th & Saturday 5th April 2014
'Crystal Blue Sky is a group of young artist's mediations on death and the family that we leave behind. A devised contemporary performance piece, this production is a collage of image, text and song that bursts with colour and questions. An inconspicuous conversation sparks the descent into the depths of four children's imagination, storytelling being the catharsis for the hard questions that are raised. From surrealist fantasy to twisted nightmare, they attempt to navigate these topics through escapism, but as the inevitable age old conflicts within their heritage rear their head time and time again, will the children simply stumble further into their subconscious rather than find a conclusion?'
